Burrotech Scan2PDF Mobile
Scan2PDF Mobile is easy to use - the step-by-step guide below will show you the process of making a PDF from a paper document and then emailing it.
Click on any of the screenshot thumbnails to see the page in full size.
1. Start Scan2PDF Mobile
Once the program starts on the phone it will usually have no scanned page (as in this case). We are going to scan a single page document so we hit the Scan button.
2. Prepare to scan
We are now ready to scan the page. Make sure that the page is sitting flat and is well-lit. Once we have the page ready to scan we hit the OK button.
3. Take the photo
Taking a photo of a page is fairly simple but there are a few key (and obvious!) points:
- Hold the phone steady!
- Try not to make a shadow on the page.
- Ensure that you can see the entire page on the screen (but get as close as you can).
- Align phone so that the rectangle of the page is the same alignment as the rectangle of the phone's screen.
4. Page scanned!
We now have the page scanned and the thumbnail can be seen on the screen. If we wish we can click on the View Page button to see the page in detail and ensure that it is focused and readable. In this case we are confident that we have a good scan so we click on the Make PDF button.
5. PDF options
Before the PDF is made there are a couple of options that we can change. The filename is automatically generated (and increments automatically) but we can change it to something more relevant if we wish. The tickboxes allow us to View/Email the PDF after it is made and/or clear the scanned pages. Here we are going to email the PDF.
6. Send email
The PDF takes less than a second to generate and now we can email it! As well as emailing the PDF we have also saved it as \My Documents\PDF\PDF_001.pdf and you can see a copy of this PDF here: test.pdf (174kb). We have taken 5 button clicks to get here, so you can see how quick and easy the process is.
7. PDF List
Back at the main screen we can click on Menu, PDFs to bring up the list of PDFs that we have made on the phone. Frm here we can view or email any PDF from the list.
